II Kanji Lassi II

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 Black Carrots

  • 2 cups Water

  • 1 tsp. Rai powder

  • 1/4 tsp. Red Chilli powder

  • 1/4 tsp. Black pepper powder

  • 2 Cups Dahi (Plain yogurt)

  • Chaat Masala powder to sprinkle

Preparation:

  • Wash the carrots, peel the skin and cut into pieces.
  • Boil water, add rai powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, salt and carrots.
  • Allow to cool. Now pour this into a glass container and keep it in sun-light for 3-4 days.
  • This water will turn sour (khatta). Kanji water is ready. Now it can be used as needed.
  • Remove carrots from the kanji water. Add to the yogurt and blend it in mixer. Add little chat masala.
  • Serve garnished with carrot pieces cut into different designs.
