Dalia Upma

Ingredients:
-
1 cup Dalia (Broken Wheat),
washed
-
1 Onion, finely chopped
-
1 tsp. finely chopped Ginger
-
2 Green chilies, finely
chopped (optional)
-
1/2 cup each green peas,
chopped Cauliflower and finely chopped
carrots
-
1 tbsp. cashew nuts, chopped
-
1 cup water
-
Salt as per taste
-
1/2 tsp. sarson (mustard
seeds)
-
1 tbsp.
Pure ghee
(clarified butter)
-
1 tsp. Lemon juice
-
1 tbsp. fresh coriander
leaves, finely chopped
Preparation:
- Heat ghee in a pan and add sarson. Allow the
seeds to crackle.
- Add cashews and fry for some time until light
brown in color.
- Add chopped onions and fry . Now add ginger,
green chilies and
all the vegetable and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add dalia and fry for 2 minutes and add
water. Cover the pan and
allow to cook on medium heat until the water is dried and
cooked.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and add lemon
juice, mix gently.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. serve hot.
