															|  Ingredients:
																 
																	
																		 
																			675gms Artichokes (Arbi)
																		
																			1 cup gram flour
																		
																			Salt to taste
																		
																			1tsp. red chili powder or to taste
																		
																			1tbsp Carom seeds  (ajwain)
																		
																			1 green chili chopped
																		
																			oil for deep-frying
																		 
																	Preperation :
																 
																	
																		
																			
																				Boil the artichokes in water until tender, about 
																					15 minutes then peel them.
																			
																				Make a batter by gradually adding water to the 
																					gram flour to make a creamy batter.
																			
																				Add salt to taste with the chili powder, and 
																					carom seeds.
																			
																				Heat the oil in a kadhai. take each artichoke 
																					and flatten it between the palms.
																			
																				Dip them in the batter, one at a time and fry in 
																					the oil, two or three at a time.
																			
																				When golden brown, drain on absorbent kitchen 
																					paper and keep hot until all artichokes are cooked.
																			
																				Serve hot or cold, as a dry dish with a meal or 
																					as a snack.
