Cholai Ka Saag - Stir-fry Amarnath Leaves

Cholai Ka Saag


Cholai Leaves 1 kg / 2 lbs
Onion 2 (sliced)
Salt 1 tsp
Crushed red chilli 1/2 tsp
Whole cumin seed 1 tsp
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Garlic chopped 1 tsp
Oil  1/2 cup

Note: Potatoes or paneer can be added for a variation.


  • Heat oil in a pan..
    Add chopped onions, chopped garlic crushed
    Add turmeric
    Add spices and salt (cumin and red chili)
    Heat till brown
    Add washed cholai leaves
    Cover and cook till soft
    Serve with Roti or paratha
