Croutons,
also known as sippets or gutke, add decorative touch when served with soups.
They can be made and stored in advance.
Ingredients:
Preparation:

Remove the crusts from the bread and cut into
small cubes.

Heat the ghee / oil in a kadhai or deep-frying
pan to almost smoking point.

Fry the bread cubes for about 2 minutes until
golden all over.

When cooked, remove and drain on absorbent
kitchen paper.

Cool and store in an airtight container.

Use when required, do not leave them in the open
for long.
