Ingredients:(Serves

1 1/4th cup Chole (medium size)

2 medium size Onions (cut in long )

2 medium size chopped Tomatoes
-
Garlic paste of 3 or 4 flakes
-
Ginger -- 1 inch piece (cut in long)
-
Finely chopped Coriander leaves
-
2 Green chili (finely chopped)
-
Salt, Red chili powder to taste.

Gram Masala to taste
-
2tsp bhuna coriander powder
-
2tsp bhuna jeera (cumin) powder
-
Amchoor or Lemon juice to taste.

2 tbsp oil
Preparation:

Soak Chole in water overnight or for about 6 hr.

Cook the chole with salt in the cooker for about
20 minutes (till fully done).

Remove the water from chole and keep aside.
-
Take 2 tbs. of oil in a pan and heat it.
-
Add the garlic paste and chopped ginger fry till
light brown.

Now add the chopped onions and fry until golden
brown.

Now add chopped tomatoes and fry till
-
Add salt if needed, chili powder and amchur (if
using ,not lemon juice)

Fry for 2 minutes.

Next, add the cooked chole & mix properly.

Now add the coriander powder, jeera powder and
garam masala and mix them
-
Before serving add the water (kept aside) and
allow 1 or 2 boils.

If using lemon juice add it now.
-
Garnish with coriander leaves.
-
Serve hot with Rice or chapati or paratha or
Bhatura.
