Ingredients:
(Serves 4)

1/2 cup ghee

2 medium onions (finely chopped)

4 flakes of garlic (crushed)

2 tbsp. tomato puree

1 tbsp. chopped ginger
-
1tbsp. lemon juice
-
8 chicken drumsticks
-
4tbsp./ 1/3rd cup curd or plain yogurt
-
11/4th cups / 300ml hot water
-
Salt to taste
Spices
-
4 cloves
-
1 piece cinnamon stick
-
4 black peppercorns
-
1 brown cardamom
-
2 green cardamoms
-
1tsp. turmeric powder
-
1tsp. red chili powder
Garnish
Preperation :

Heat the ghee in a sauce pan and fry onions, garlic and the
first five spices until golden brown.

Add the tomato puree, ginger, lemon juice, chicken drumsticks
and turmeric and chili powders. Mix well and cook for 15 minutes over a low
heat.

Mix together the curd, hot water and salt and stir into the
chicken mixture.

Bring to boil then cover and simmer for about 30 minutes or
until the chicken is tender.

Sprinkle with garam masala and coriander leaves before serving.
