The Karwa chauth song is sung when the women get together to perform pooja add sit in a circle to listen to Karwa chauth Katha and and sing the following song while rotating the thalis containing Baya. This Stanza is sung 6 times. it is repeated till all the thalis (plates) has been through each hand in the circle and everyone has their own thali... it goes on six times, i.e. 6 feras or has completed 6 circles. On the Seventh circle the plates rotate anti-clock-wise, i.e. in other direction as before. The song also changes in the seventh round.
