Pressure Cooking Time : 3
Minutes
Ingredients: ( Serves : 8)
- 3 cups Basmati rice, washed and
drained
- 3 medium Carrots, peeled and cut
into 2 cm. long strips
- 100 gms. Green Beans, cut
diagonally into 2 cm. long strips
- 1 cup Green peas (Matar),
shelled or frozen
- 1 tsp. cumin seeds
- 2 Bay leaves
- 2 sticks (2 inch long) Cinnamon
- 3 Brown cardamoms
- 5 Cloves
- 4 tsp. Salt or to taste
- 3 1/2 cups Water
- 5 tbsp. Vegetable oil
Preparation :

Heat oil in a cooker. Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cardamoms,
cinnamon and cloves. Fry till cumin starts to splutter. Add
carrots, beans and peas. Stir fry for 2 minutes. Add rice and
fry for a minute or two. Add salt and water. Mix well.

Close cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Reduce heat
and cook for 3 minutes.

Remove cooker from heat. Allow to cool naturally. Open cooker.
Serve hot.
