Poha Cutlets II |
Ingredients:

1 cup Poha
-
1 medium Onion, finely chopped

3 medium Potatoes, boiled and mashed

1-2 Green chilies, finely chopped
-
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
-
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
-
7-8 cashew nuts, chopped
-
Salt to taste
-
1 tsp. Red Chili powder
-
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
-
2 tbsp All purpose flour (Maida)
-
1 tbsp Lemon juice

Oil
Preparation:

Wash poha and Soak it in water for five minutes.

Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, chopped onions, two tablespoons of refined flour and roast for two to three minutes.

Add red chili powder, chopped green chilies, turmeric powder, stir and mix well. Remove from heat and transfer the mixture into a bowl.

Add soaked poha, mashed potatoes, salt, chopped coriander leaves, chopped cashew nuts and lemon juice. Mix well.

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each into a cutlet.

Heat enough oil in a kadhai and deep fry the cutlets till golden brown.

Drain onto a paper towel and serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
