Black Beans Pappadams(Ural Daal ke Papad)

Ingredients:

4 cups black bean (urad daal) powder

1tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp black peppercorns

A pinch of asafoetida powder
-
1/2tsp white cumin seeds
-
A pinch of baking soda / powder
-
Ghee / oil to grease
Preperation :

Place all ingredients in a mortar and pound thoroughly
using a pestle or use an electric grinder.

Add enough water to make a stiff dough.
-
Divide the mixture into 16 portions. Roll out each one into a
very thin round.

Spread them out on a greased plastic sheet to dry on both sides
in the sun or warmest place in the house.

When dry store in a clean bag or covered container.
-
Deep-fry just before use.
