II Mixed Daal  II


  • 1tbsp Chana Daal
  • 1tbsp Urad Daal
  • 1tbsp Masoor Daal
  • 1tbsp Moong Daal
  • 2tbsp Toor Daal
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1tsp Cumin seeds(jeera)
  • 2tsp dhania powder
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1/2tsp Garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2tbsp oil
  • 2tbsp butter


  • Mix and wash all daals. Soak them for an hour.
  • Heat oil and add cumin seeds, allow to splutter. Now add onions and fry till light pink.
  • Add daals and 4-5 cups of water and cook on low flame until done.
  • Now add dhania powder, turmeric powder, chili powder and salt. Cook again till 2/3rd of water is evaporated.
  • Mash the daal slightly.
  • Now in a seperate pan heat the butter and add tomatoes, curd and garam masala powder and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add cooked daal and stir for 3-4 minutes.
  • Garnish it with coriander and serve hot.
